Recall Lindsay Berschauer Ballots Out Now!

The ballots for the recall Lindsay Berschauer election are arriving in mailboxes across the county now.

Please make sure to vote Yes on your ballot and drop it at an official Yamhill County ballot dropbox before 8pm on March 22nd.

For more information on the recall campaign you can visit SaveYamhillCounty.com

You can come get a vote yes lawn sign free of charge at the YCD office during our open hours, Tuesday 3pm-7pm and Saturday 10am-2pm, including extended hours Saturday 2pm-5pm by volunteer availability.

The Yamhill County Democrats Endorse a Yes vote on the recall.

From SYC:

Why Recall Lindsay Berschauer?

Lindsay Berschauer won her seat in May 2020 at the height of the pandemic on the votes of less than 23% of the electorate.

Since then she has sent $1.1 million of tax-payer money out of Yamhill County, disregarded state law, and impeded efficient county management by publicly berating county employees for political gain.

She has attacked her constituents simply for participating in the democratic process, publishing their names, addresses, and businesses on her social media.

She has failed to register as a lobbyist for her political consulting firm and has never disclosed her clients.

Over 8,000 citizens of Yamhill County have come together to remove Lindsay Berschauer from office for her corruption, ineffectiveness, and waste of tax-payer money.

Recall Lindsay Berschauer, Round 2.

The Yamhill County Democrats are pleased to be working with Save Yamhill County on the second round of signature gathering for the Berschauer recall.

To help in this project the YCD office hours have been extended until the end of the year, our current days and hours are:

Sunday: 1pm-5pm

Tuesday: 3pm-7pm

Thursday: 3pm-7pm

Saturday 10am-5pm

We will be closed Saturday and Sunday the 25th and 26th for the holiday weekend. Our hours for the new year are coming soon.

Stop by any time during our open hours to sign the recall petition, or drop completed E-sheets through our mail slot any time 24/7.

For anyone curious as to why a Round 2 is needed for the recall:

"The people of Yamhill County have spoken. Nearly 9,000 of you came forward to sign our recall petition because you had enough of County Commissioner Lindsay Berschauer‘s extremism and bad-faith representation. Unfortunately, due to a clerical error, over 1,500 valid signatures were thrown out of our first filing, causing us to come just 323 signatures shy of the requirement to put a recall on the ballot.

We do not intend to let those voices go unheard." ~SYC

For more details and additional ways to sign, including having petitioners come to you, you can visit the SYC website at, SaveYamhillCounty.com

YCD adds pride flags to inventory.

We’re so excited to announce that we have Pride Flags available for sale!! $2 of every flag sold will be donated to PFLAG Newberg for scholarships for LGBTQ youth in Yamhill County!

Flags are $25. The office is open 3pm-7pm Tuesday or 10am-2pm on Saturday at 1107 NE Baker St, McMinnville. Drop in and say hi to our volunteers, and check out the lending library, too!

*These are the same design, but not the same manufacturer as the one available at Mac Market or through our friends at Pollinate Flowers — ours are a heavier weight material and should ‘fly’ a little more like a flag on a pole, but colors are a little muted so the light shines through. They were manufactured by Flags For Good.
