*Oregon state law now allows ballots to be accepted if they are postmarked by 8pm on election day, and received within 7 days after the election.
Due to possible post office volume based slowdowns, the Yamhill County Democrats still recommend using an official dropbox instead of mailing if it is less than 7 days until election day to allow adequate time for your ballot to arrive.

A Word from Our Chair

Yamhill County Democrats
With only 12 days until the May election, it is the time to act.
We cannot sit idly by as our brothers and sisters have their rights stripped at the local and federal level.
This Election Day, make sure your loved ones and friends have voted; make phone calls, knock doors, and make your voice heard.
New Districts Are Here!
With the 2020 redistricting finished and through the courts, we now know what the map will look like for Yamhill County for the next decade.
As part of this new map, Yamhill County will now be a key part of the newly created 6th Congressional District. This new district combines a mix of rural and urban areas and is sure to be tightly contested this fall.
Read more about CD6 here:
Oregon’s new congressional district has a diversity that likely limits a lean too far one direction
The Yamhill County Democrats are already working hard to establish this as a blue seat and send a democrat to Washington DC.
For the State Legislature, these new maps mean more unified districts that will make it far easier for our communities to come together and share one voice for who will represent us.
Nearly all Yamhill County voters are now in either House District 23 or 24 and Senate District 12.

Stay tuned for our announcements of endorsements for the general election.

Deserve Honesty
As I have volunteered my time and effort to the question of keeping our newest County Commissioner, I have been told by a few residents that I should “Go back to Portland.” I want to state here that I have lived in Yamhill County for nearly 50 years.
While I am writing, I will also say that the other volunteers have also all been residents of Yamhill County.
No one has been paid to do this work. We have done this for the love of this county and our neighbors.
I would ask where these false rumors start, but a hint of one place is right there on your ballot, where Lindsay Berschauer tries to scare you with the threat of “Portland-style politics,” whatever that means.
Yamhill County deserves honesty from its commissioners. Vote yes on the recall.
